A graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Dr. Khansari then transferred to Boston University to complete dental studies and training. She graduated in 2002 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and began practicing dentistry in San Diego. Dr. Khansari?s patients are amazed at her gentle techniques. The most fearful new patients walk out of her care calm and eager to return. Dr. Khansari treats each patient like family and is renowned in San Diego as a leading creator of perfect smiles. The Dr. takes full pride in performing the highest quality dental care possible. She is a talented dentist with a personal and professional touch.

Reza Rafie DMD

By 1988, Dr. Rafie completed dental school prerequisites at the University of California, San Diego and moved to Boston to attend Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine. He graduated from dental school in 1992 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and has been practicing dentistry since then. Dr. Rafie then moved back to his family in San Diego and started Smile Designers with his sister, Dr. Khansari.

Dr. Rafie is an expert at his craft. He is known for confident and painless dental treatments. Alireza Khansari DDS, MsD

Dr. Alireza Khansari is a rare find in San Diego. He is one of only a select few of Board Certified Periodontists in this area. Dr. Alireza Khansari got his specialty degree in periodontology from Boston University in 2002. With this unique and challenging degree, Dr. Alireza Khansari is an important aspect of the Smile Designers Team. His certifications go above and beyond the average dental professional,

Board Certification requires:

• Comprehensive written and oral examination covering all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment, including dental implants.
• Presentation of detailed reports on a broad range of actual treatment personally provided by the periodontist. 
• Recertification every three years.
